Nadiya is a Registered Play Therapist and Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor.

She is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and The University of Texas at Austin. She started her professional career in Southern California counseling school-aged children for the last nine years.

Nadiya is passionate about the well-being of all children. She believes that each child is extraordinary and unique, with something valuable to offer to the world. Counseling is approached through child-centered play therapy, believing each child can achieve optimal growth and development.

Nadiya values her relationship with the children she works with and believes it to be a privilege to share even a small part of their life’s journey with them.

Her specialties include behavioral issues, learning disabilities, school performance, anxiety, self-esteem, impulse control, ADD/ADHD, peer problems, social skills training, social-emotional development, trouble at school, sibling conflict, and adjustment issues related to life changes.

Nadiya lives in Carrboro with her husband and daughters. She loves to travel, garden, explore new restaurants, and spend time outdoors in beautiful North Carolina with her family.
