Nadiya Miraki

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Registered Play Therapist

Nadiya is a Registered Play Therapist and Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor.

Her focus is on anxiety, relational issues, social skills training, resiliency, self-compassion, social-emotional development, bullying, difficulty in school, and adjustment issues related to life changes.  She also works closely with the families of children and teens to help build a deeper understanding of what is going on with their child emotionally, physically, mentally, and developmentally from a therapeutic approach.

Nadiya is happiest spending time with her daughters and husband.  She finds joy in reading, traveling, coffee, and picnicking with her daughters.

Nadiya is available for in-person appointments and Telehealth.

Nadiya has her degree in psychology from The University of Texas at Austin and her masters in counseling psychology from Southern Methodist University.  She completed post graduate study in child development, and is a registered play therapist. She is fully licensed in both North Carolina and California.

Her focus is working with children, teens, and young adults. She approaches therapy as an opportunity for each person to grow more resilient, courageous, and encouraged.  Nadiya champions the idea of helping people navigate the challenges of life, while developing a stronger sense of self, honoring their strengths, and feeling more secure and connected to themselves and the world around them.

Nadiya values her relationship with the children and young adults she works with and believes it to be a privilege to share even a small part of their life’s journey with them.
