Jyoti is the founder of YogaSheila in Northwest Cary and has been teaching yoga for over 18 years and a yoga practitioner for over 30 years. She is an accomplished professional Yoga and Vishoka Meditation teacher trained and certified by the Himalayan Institute, PA. She is a certified member of Yoga Alliance and a recognized E-RYT 500-hour and E-RYT 200-hour teacher.

Jyoti is a professional Mindfulness Meditation Teacher and certified under the guidance of renowned psychologists and meditation teachers Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. She is also a Functional breathing and Pranayama coach. She follows the practice of Hatha Yoga, which helps develop every aspect of the individual; physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual.Her teaching encompasses the classic asanas, breath training, breath centered asanas and movement, systematic relaxation to access deep state of inner awareness as preparation for meditative practice, and mindfulness meditation.

She continues her professional development by attending advance trainings and workshops with the Master of Yoga and yoga therapists around the country.
